About Me
My background
I live in West Michigan on the beautiful lakeshore, where we have all the beauty of the changing seasons. I work for a local manufacturing company as Director of Human Resources and have been in this field for over 25 years. I have raised two boys. Ever since I started my journey with this art medium I find it truly magical as resin can be very unpredictable and with many variables to consider when creating a piece of art is exactly what exites and inspires me. What I really love about creating art with resin is the depth, and 3D effects that the glass-like finish it creates. The possibilities are endless. The layered 3D effect this medium delivers takes an art piece to a level that gives a realistic look. My goal with each piece I create is to have the piece capture at a glance the 'wow' factor which is often done with highlights of an accent color. This draws a viewer in to take a closer look and see the layers and fine details. Some art pieces takes weeks to create I really enjoy the step-by-step process that each piece goes through to create the final product.,

My Medium
I paint using several different techniques and different mediums. To create the abstract art I will use acrylics, textures, glitters, crystals, sand, stones etc. I use higher-quality paints and almost all of my work is created with higher-quality resin.
My Inspiration
My husband and I decided to remodel our living room and wanted new wall hangings for the room. We did not like anything we could find so he suggested we try making our own, I was against this idea until he kept pushing the idea. We poured our first painting together and I have been hooked ever since. I don't let him in my studio any more -:)
